Emily and Marc felt truly blessed for the love and support of so many family members, friends, and strangers as they did anything and everything they could to help Sophie fight her battle against a DIPG. From the time of diagnosis until Sophie's death, the heart-wrenching emotional strain was compounded by the financial burden that accompanied Sophie’s care and treatment. Marc and Emily realized how fortunate they were to have financial support which allowed them to do things for Sophie which they would not have otherwise been able to do. Consequently, providing financial assistance to families is one part of the Smiles For Sophie Forever mission, and at this time they are happy to begin awarding grants to those families in need. Emily and Marc can't express enough how appreciative they were, and still are, of the generosity and financial support of so many. They are delighted to be able to begin to give that same financial support to those in need through the foundation created in Sophie's memory.
After sponsoring several fund-raising events and receiving many generous donations, Smiles For Sophie Forever is now in a position to offer families with a child who has been diagnosed with brain cancer the opportunity to apply for up to $1000 in grants to assist with financial hardships. Please feel comfortable in requesting our assistance.
